A delegation of Hoa Binh province led by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to ethnic communities in Mai Chau district.

At the People’s Committee of Pa Co commune, Long and his
entourage offered Tet wishes and presented 30 packages of gift, each valued at
1.3 million VND (51.5 USD), to disadvantaged households; 10 packages, each
worth 800,000 VND, to reputable persons, village elders and presented gifts to
the leaders of Hang Kia and Pa Co communes.
He updated the community on the province’s socio-economic
development in 2024, as well as activities organised to ensure a joyful and
inclusive Tet celebration for everyone.
Recognising the efforts of the Party Committee, local
authorities, and the people in promoting socio-economic development and
ensuring social welfare, Long urged Mai Chau district’s Party Committee and
administration to continue enhancing leadership in socio-economic development.
He emphasised the need to focus on building and improving social
infrastructure, attracting investments, and raising living standards,
particularly in disadvantaged areas such as Hang Kia and Pa Co communes, to
foster significant local economic and social progress.
The official conveyed his best wishes and New Year greetings
to disadvantaged families, reputable persons, village elders and village heads
on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Snake. He expressed his hope that
these individuals will continue to play active roles in fostering unity and
harmony within their communities, overcoming challenges, and building a better
life.
As part of the visit, Long and the delegation attended the
inauguration of a "Great Solidarity" house for Ban Van Song, a
resident of Bo Liem hamlet, Dong Tan commune, Mai Chau district.
