His series of concerts, which will take place at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, is part of the Sofitel Fête de la musique celebration.

The musician will perform at Thang Long Hall on June 23, presenting his own compositions, in French and English. The 90-minute will also include blues and classic rock songs and stories of his experiences with some of the most famous names in music.

Also, from June 19 until June 22, Padovani will perform at Le Club Bar from 8pm to 9pm.

Originally from Corsica, France, Padovani formed ‘The Police’ in 1976 with Sting and Stewart Copel as the original guitarist, before going on to perform with several other top artists.

In 1980, Padovani formed his own group, The Flying Padovanis, while at the same time managing Europe’s biggest solo act, Zucchero, who went on to sell more than 15 million albums worldwide.

In 2011, the musician became a judge on the French version of the popular TV show, The X Factor.
