35 Vietnamese movies to be introduced at 5th Hanoi int''l film festival

The Vietnam Cinema Department has released a list of 35 contemporary Vietnamese films to be presented at the upcoming 5th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF V), with 21 feature movies and 14 short films.

A scene from "Song Lang" – a film attracting public attention at the moment, will be screened during the 5th Hanoi International Film Festival.

Twenty-one contemporary feature films, including new hot films that have just opened in theatres, will be screened free of charge during the festival in Hanoi, such as "Song Lang", "Co can nha nam nghe nang mua" (like an old house), and "Da co hoai lang” (Hello Vietnam).

The contemporary film screening projects also gather award winning films, as well as films of public interest.

A highlight of this year’s programme is the new award for the Most Popular Vietnamese Film (for feature films) voted for by the audience.

In addition, 14 short films, including documentaries and cartoons, will also be featured as part of the film festival.

The HANIFF V will take place from October 27 to 31 with the participation of over 500 feature and short films (documentaries, scientific films and animation) from nearly 50 countries and territories worldwide.

The Great National Solidarity Festival in the residential sub-area 1, Mai Chau town

On November 3rd, the residential area, sub-zone 1, Mai Chau town (Mai Chau) organized the Great National Solidarity and the Culture Festival between the local people and the armed forces. There was the attendance of Colonel Do Thanh Binh, the Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Director of the Provincial Public Security; the leaders from the appropriate departments and branches of the province and Mai Chau district. This is the residential area chosen to host the Great Solidarity Festival in the district in 2024.

Great solidarity festival held in Suoi Hoa commune

Thung residential area in Suoi Hoa commune, Tan Lac district of Hoa Binh, on November 1 held the Great National Solidarity Festival in 2024. The event drew Nguyen Thi Cam Phuong, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, as well as leaders of some departments, sectors, and Tan Lac district.
