National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has complimented Vietnam’s U23 football team on their excellent performance and historic achievements at the Asian championship.

During a meeting with the team in Hanoi on January 29,
Chairwoman Ngan said she is proud of the national spirit and strong will that
the players showed during the tournament.
She praised the players for their efforts to overcome difficulties to achieve
success.
The team performed miracles, touching the hearts of all Vietnamese people,
she emphasised.
The parliament speaker also thanked the team’s head coach Park Hang-Seo,
expressing her hope that he will make more contributions to Vietnam’s
football, as well as to the friendship between Vietnam and the Republic of
Korea.
On behalf of the team, captain Luong Xuan Truong promised to make more
efforts to develop the country’s football.
Vietnam became the runners-up at the AFC U23 Championship after losing 1-2 to
Uzbekistan in the final in Changzhou, China.
Earlier the team defeated Iraq in the quarterfinals and Qatar in the
semifinals on penalty shootouts.

Enforcement Departments of 7 Provinces in the Northeastern and Mountainous Regions
On February 19th, at the Hoa Binh Province Sports Hall, the Cluster of Judicial Departments and Civil Judgment Enforcement Departments of 7 provinces in the Northeastern and Mountainous regions, including Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Yen Bai, Bac Giang and Phu Tho organized a friendly sports competition. A total of 52 athletes from the provinces in the cluster participated in the competition.
At 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16th, at Hoa Binh Provincial Stadium, Hoa Binh Football Club (Hoa Binh FC) played against Long An Football Club (Long An FC) in round 9 of the National First Division Football Tournament - Bia Sao Vang, 2024 - 2025. The dramatic match ended in a 0-0 draw when no goals were scored.
