Over 130 athletes attend provincial volleyball tournament

(HBO) – The Hoa Binh volleyball tournament 2017 was successfully co-held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Yen Thuy district at the district’s stadium.

The competition attracts crowds of spectators

The event, the fifth competition under the sixth Hoa Binh Sport Festival 2018, gathered a total of 133 athletes of 13 teams from 10 districts, Hoa Binh city and provincial police. Eight men’s volleyball teams, six women’s teams and men-women teams were divided in two groups competing in a round-robin format to select two teams in each group for semi-final and final matches.

After three days of competition with 30 dramatic matches, Yen Thuy district’s team was crowned champion in the women’s event while the teams of Hoa Binh city and Kim Boi district finished in second and third relatively.

On the men’s side, the Ky Son team claimed a gold medal while silver and bronze medals belonged to the Yen Thuy and Lac Son teams respectively.

The organising board also awarded two stylist prizes to the Da Bac women’s team and the provincial police men’s team. Yen Thuy district received a prize for its volleyball movement./.

Enforcement Departments of 7 Provinces in the Northeastern and Mountainous Regions On February 19th, at the Hoa Binh Province Sports Hall, the Cluster of Judicial Departments and Civil Judgment Enforcement Departments of 7 provinces in the Northeastern and Mountainous regions, including Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Yen Bai, Bac Giang and Phu Tho organized a friendly sports competition. A total of 52 athletes from the provinces in the cluster participated in the competition.

Hoa Binh FC draws with Long An FC at home stadium

At 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16th, at Hoa Binh Provincial Stadium, Hoa Binh Football Club (Hoa Binh FC) played against Long An Football Club (Long An FC) in round 9 of the National First Division Football Tournament - Bia Sao Vang, 2024 - 2025. The dramatic match ended in a 0-0 draw when no goals were scored.
