Developing the mass movement of sports and physical training

(HBO) - In response to the campaign of "All people practice exercise following the example of our Great Uncle Ho ", the mass movement of sports and physical training in the province has always been concerned, directed and developed strongly with many diversified forms, expanding to most locality, attracting a large number of local people.

Mr. Nguyen Mong Long, the Head of Sports Management Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said: The mass sports movement is always being taken care to invest, develop uniformly and widely, especially in sports. Ethnic minorities and traditional ethnic sports are well-developed and have gained many achievements in regional and national sport competitions. In particular, the traditional national sports known as the strength of the province, such as stick pushing, tug of war, crossbow shooting have been paid the attention and invested to get high achievements. Every year, the province organizes nearly 1,000 sports competition events from grassroots level up to provincial level. In addition, the cultural sector in coordination with the departments and boards launched, organized successfully many Sports Competition in the form of socialization. At the same time, in coordination with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Sports Federation and the related branches and localities successfully hosted 3-4 regional and nationwide championships, such as: the nationwide Cycling Tournament of Long Distance for the Youth; National Mountain Biking Championship; the National Youth Volleyball Club Cup, the National Volleyball Championships of qualifying round; the National senior and middle- age swimming competition, etc. From the beginning of this year, our province has held Chess Championships; the 1^st Hoa Binh Open Karatedo Cup for the strong clubs of Hoa Binh province in 2018; The Competitions of crossbow shooting, tug of war, stick pushing and marathon, etc. with the participation of nearly 1,300 athletes, 72 medals and 308 athletes were approved to be at higher level.

In order to meet the demand for training and improving the physical training and sports movements, the mission of land planning, investment in the constructing facilities, cultural and sport institutions for sports and physical training activities from provincial to local levels has been paid much attention. Many districts and cities have planned land for sports facilities, built and used effectively, well provide the cultural and sports activities in the locality. Up to now, the province has 11 stadiums, 34 football pitches (including 9 artificial grass football pitches), 8 swimming pools (1 standard swimming pool), 108 volleyball courts, 14 basketball yards, 49 tennis courts, a golf course and many other sports facilities with remarkable contribution from socialization resources.

Promoting the spirit of physical exercise and sports for young people

Along with promoting the spirit of volunteerism and completing the core tasks of the Youth Communist Union and the youth movement, in recent years, the Youth Communist Union at all levels in the province has regularly organized the movement of physical exercise and sports attracting the participation of a large number of union members and young people. These activities help the union members and the young people raise their awareness of self-training, improving their health, and building a healthy lifestyle and they are also a solution to attract and gather the young people in many localities.

In recent years, modern dance has gradually become popular and emerged as a trend, attracting more and more young people in Hoa Binh to practice and perform. As an art form consisting of many different dancing genres, participating in modern dancing activities, practitioners not only improve their health, physique, flexibility, agility, and confidence, but they also contribute to building a healthy cultural and artistic movement in the community.
