Da Bac district wins the first prize for the sixth time in a row 

 HBO – The Hoa Binh Newspaper, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Education and Training and the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, organised the 27th Hoa Binh Newspaper Cup Run at the Hoa Binh Square.

Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Cuu, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Dinh Van Duc, and leaders of provincial departments and sectors, and Hoa Binh city and districts. Representatives of donors such as Agribank Hoa Binh Branch, Dai-Ichi Insurance, Hoa Binh Post Office, Military Bank Hoa BinhBbranch, 26/3 joint Stock Company, and VNPT Hoa Binh Branch were also present at the event.

This year’s tourney attracted the participation of 150 athletes of 21 delegations from all of the province’s 10 districts and Hoa Binh city, and local high schools and educational centres, who competed for six sets of medals.

 

Athletes start running in the champion men’s 7km run category

 

Concluding the tourney, the organising board granted individual prizes to seven athletes with the highest results, and team prizes to three teams with the most outstanding results.

 Specifically, for individual prizes, Dinh Thanh Hue (Da Bac) won the first prize in the champion men’s category, while Bui Van Hoa (Lac Son) and Xa Thanh Son (Da Bac) finished second and third, respectively. In the champion women’s category, first: Bui Thi Luong (Yen Thuy); second: Ban Hong Hue (Da Bac); third: Xa Thi Tu (Da Bac). In the young men’s category, first: Xa Tuan Anh (Da Bac); second: Tran Anh Tu (Yen Thuy); third: Hoang Minh Bao (Luong Son). In the young women’s category, first: Bui Thi Diem (Lac Son); second: Xa Ngoc Thuy (Da Bac); third: Bui Thi Nghia (Lac Son). In the high school and tertiary education men’s category, first: Bui Van Nam (Quyet Thang High School); second: Bui Van Dat (Quyet Thang High School); third: Phan Cong Hoang Bao (Da Bac High School). In the high school and tertiary education women’s category, first: Ha Thi Diep (Da Bac High School); second: Xa Thi Kim Hanh (Muong Chieng High School); and third: Bui Phuong Huyen (Doan Ket High School).

 For team prizes, Da Bac won the trophy in the men’s team category, while Lac Son and Cao Phong districts won the second and third prizes, respectively. In the women’s team category, first: Da Bac district; second: Luong Son district; third: Lac Son district. In the young men’s team category, first: Luong Son district; second: Lac Son district; third: Da Bac district. In the young women’s team category, first: Da Bac district; second: Lac Son district; third: Yen Thuy district. In the high school and tertiary education men’s team category, first: Quyet Thang High School; second: Lung Van High School; third: Doan Ket High School. In the high school and tertiary education women’s team category, first: Muong Chieng High School; second: Lung Van High School; third: Doan Ket High School. Overall, Da Bac district finished first in the tourney for the sixth consecutive time, while Lac Son and Luong Son districts came second and third, respectively.

 In addition, the organising board granted the youngest male athlete prize to Tran Anh Tu, born in 2005 from Yen Thuy district; the youngest female athlete prize to Hoang Phuong Thuy, born in 2007 from Luong Son district; the best coach prize to Bui Tien Anh (Da Bac district); the run movement prize in 2018 to Lac Son district; the high school and tertiary education run movement prize to Lung Van High School; and the socialist sport style prize to Luong Son district./.

A total of 52 athletes from the provinces in the cluster participated in the competition.
