Luong Son district is set to become a township in the near future due to its huge potential and unique advantages compared to other localities. The district has truly transformed itself, with its infrastructure steadily improving.

Locals are eagerly anticipating their district's official
recognition as a township, which will be a turning point in the development of
Luong Son, a driving force for the province.
Nguyen Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of the
district People's Committee, stated that following the building of the urban
development programme for Luong Son by 2045 and the proposal to recognise Luong
Son as a tier-4 urban area, the committee has assigned specific tasks to
agencies and units to develop implementation plans and methods.
To achieve the set goals, the district is focusing on directing
and implementing urban development projects, particularly those related to
roads, drainage systems, sidewalks, lighting systems, green spaces, and clean
water in Cu Yen, Nhuan Trach, Hoa Son, Tan Vinh and Lam Son communes, and Luong
Son town.
In 2024, the district recorded notable socio-economic
achievements, with its urbanisation rate reaching approximately 56.1%, up 3.8%
year-on-year. The total production value was estimated to increase by 15%,
while per capita income stood at 72 million VND (2,830 USD). Its state budget
revenue reached about 720 billion VND, surpassing the set target by 52.8%. The
total export value was 800 million USD, accounting for 40% of the province's
total. Agricultural employment accounted for 32% of the total workforce, 19% lower
than the provincial average. Additionally, 97.7% of schools in the district met
national standards, 36.7% higher than the provincial average.
In the year, Luong Son handed over 507.36 hectares of clean
land to investors and developers for project preparation and commencement. At
the same time, it continued to implement key projects of both the province and
the district. Once completed, these projects are expected to provide a
significant boost, helping Luong Son make socio-economic breakthroughs.
With industrial zones, green urban areas, and a modern,
harmonious transportation network, Luong Son is ready to transform itself into
a new urban area with renewed vitality. The start of a new year marks new
aspirations, new developments, and greater modernisation, with the aim of
becoming a dynamic township in Hoa Binh province. Building on its revolutionary
traditions and internal strengths, Luong Son is confidently innovating and
integrating to soon become a township that borders Hanoi's capital city.
