The traffic infrastructure in Kim Boi district has received the investment attention, creating the favorable conditions for traveling, connecting trade, and promoting socio-economic development.

The site of the project of connecting Hoa Binh - Hanoi region and Son La expressway (Hoa Binh - Moc Chau) with a total investment of over 4,000 billion VND, being implemented, passing through Kim Boi district for 16.3km, has been basically handed over to the investor for over 10km. Currently, the contractor has organized the construction of several bridges and embankments. The road has been shaped to be spacious, opening up a large space for Kim Boi to develop.

The secretary of Vinh Dong Commune’s Party Committee, Mr. Bui Van Hung, says: The road passing through the commune is 3.37km long. 5 hamlets are being affected with the total area of ​​land of 15.4 hectares to be recovered, which has been basically handed over to the investor for construction according to plan. In the commune, many projects have been registered to be implemented in the field of the urban tourism. Some planning projects for the residential areas serve as the basis for the planning management and investment attraction. In the future, according to the provincial and district planning, the commune is oriented to develop in the direction of agriculture, tourism, and services.

Muong Dong - Kim Boi has many favorable conditions for development. The beautiful and charming natural landscape with its rich cultural identity and mineral water resources considered as the white gold is of particular interest to domestic and foreign investors. According to the provincial planning, Kim Boi district is identified as a key area for developing eco-tourism and resorts of high quality. In recent times, the province has directed to prioritize the investment resources and support Kim Boi in exploiting this potential and advantage. Many investors are interested in researching and implementing strategic projects, including the project of ecological urban areas, high-class entertainment and Cuoi Ha cable car system with a total investment of over 6,600 billion VND and an area of ​​about 189 hectares in Kim Boi and Cuoi Ha communes.

In 2024, Kim Boi district focused on implementing many solutions to carry out the political and key tasks, and breakthroughs associated with the responsibility of the leader, and it had the positive changes at the beginning. Concretizing the provincial planning, district construction planning projects, and zoning plans were urgently deployed to shape the development space, and well manage the planning to mobilize the investment resources to exploit the potential and advantages of building the district as an urban, tourism, and service center. Many areas of the district have shown positive signs. The tourism facilities and projects continue to be invested in terms of scale and quality to meet the requirements. The number of tourists coming to experience and explore the tourist attractions along Boi River has increased sharply. Some tourism projects have been restarted with quite urgent progress.

In the district, there are 58 investment projects in the tourism sector, of which 15 projects have been approved for implementation. They include Eco-urban complex, high-class entertainment and Cuoi Ha cable car system in Kim Boi and Cuoi Ha communes; high-class garden house area (Golden Farm) in Sao Bay commune; Kim Boi Apec Mandala Sky Villas in Mo Da hamlet, Bo town implemented by Apec Group joint Stock Company, aiming to bring 5-star hot mineral therapy resort products...

The district's economy has strongly developed with the economic growth reaching 14.7%, the average income per capita has reached 50 million VND a year, the average poverty rate has decreased by over 5%/year (the poor household rate is 12.28%); the economic structure continues to shift in a positive direction. The proportion of the agricultural and forestry production accounts for 22.4%; the small-scale industry - basic construction accounts for 22.4%; the service accounts for 55.2%. The agricultural production has been developing towards the sustainable and high-quality agriculture. There have been 17 products certified to meet OCOP standards in the district. The typical products are Son Thuy longan, Hop Tien honey, Kim Boi natural mineral water, Muong Dong polemos... The infrastructure has much been invested, gradually reducing the gap between the regions in the district. The natural resources and environment have been protected and preserved. Culture - society has progressed and developed, the people's knowledge has been raised, and people's lives have been improved. The rate of trained employees has reached 66.8%.
