commune, Lac Thuy district.
Concerning the management
of transport, vehicles and drivers, the department always requested transport
companies, bus stations, and wharves to build plans, prepare vehicles and other
necessaries to ensure safe and smooth travelling. It also assessed and

businesses operating in the sector, with 711 vehicles.
Last year, local roads
were severely affected by heavy rains and storms, particularly a low-pressure

disruptions.

education, the sector checked 2,363 vehicles and found 865 of which violating
the law, collecting total fines of 6.64 billion VND and revoking 393 driving
licences.

measures to fulfill tasks set for the sector in 2018.
Addressing the event, Bui
Van Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Committee, lauded the role of
the transport sector last year and asked the sector to continue administrative
reform, improve management, and ensure traffic safety.
