(HBO) – A working delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment led by Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, visited locals in flood and landslide hit areas in Da Bac and Mai Chau districts on January 31 and February 1. Accompanied the delegation was Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang.
On February 1, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung
visited people in Vay Nua and Hien Luong communes in Da Bac district, which
were hardest hit by floods. The infrastructure in the areas was seriously
damaged while people are suffering a lot of hardship due to insufficient accommodation
and production land.
The Minister presented gift packages,
including cash, blankets, water filter machines to schools, and a television to
the cultural house in Lau Bai hamlet. He hoped local residents will continue
supporting the authority in resettlement and increase production. He wished
them a warm and happy Tet holiday. During the working trip, the ministry’s
trade unions presented a lot of gifts to people in flood hit areas.
Sharing difficulties of locals, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung recognised the efforts of local authorities in addressing flood
consequences, implementing resettlement, and improving production and living
standards for residents.
On the occasion, the Minister presented
300 million VND to the local fund to poor people.
The Minister later inspected some key
facilities in Da Bac and Mai Chau districts and examined the construction of
Road 433, resettlement areas, poverty reduction and fish raising models.
He took note of proposals of local
authorities and people to implement more assistance policies. Earlier on
January 31, the Minister visited locals in Phuc San commune, Mai Chau district.

people in a resettlement area in Hien Luong commune, Da Bac district.

Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presented 300 million VND to the local fund to
support needy people.
The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee met on March 18 to review and guide major investment projects aimed at boosting local socio-economic development.

Welding sparks illuminate the faces of workers, and concrete mixers churn relentlessly, laying fresh pavement on the newly-carved road. The construction site buzzes with a palpable sense of urgency, particularly in Hoa Binh province where the expressway's future is being forged.
The northern province of Hoa Binh, with over 467,000 hectares of natural forest and more than 100,000 hectares of production forest, holds significant potential for carbon credit market development.
Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
Recognising digital transformation as an inevitable trend, authorities and agencies in Hoa Binh have made great efforts in the work by focusing on three core pillars - digital government, digital society, and digital economy, resulting in enhanced competitiveness, improved investment climate, and ensured economic and social welfare.
In recent years, Da Bac district has improved administrative reform with a one-stop shop mechanism, streamlined inter-agency procedures, and a shift to digital platforms. These efforts have enhanced public service efficiency and contributed to local socio-economic development.
