(HBO) - On February 27, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Quang and a provincial working delegation held a working session in Luong Son district to inspect the use of land involving resorts, villas, garden houses, as well as mineral mining in Luong Son district. The delegation was included Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khanh and leaders of departments and agencies.

Luong Son district is home to 21 licensed resort, garden house projects,
including nine urban infrastructure and housing and 12 resort and real estate
projects. Thirteen of them are underway on the site of over 758ha, including
six completed projects, three done with site clearance and the remaining
projects have their ground under clearance. There are eight licensed projects
which have been delayed for more than 12 months on the site of over
4,207ha.
On mineral exploitation, Luong Son records 51 valid projects, helping
generating jobs for workers and contributing to State budget collection,
gradually turning mining into a spearhead sector in the local economy. In 2017,
mining enterprises added over 72 billion VND to the State budget.
Speaking at the working session, Chairman Quang spoke highly of State
management efforts in developing infrastructure in ecological tourism urban
areas and mineral mining over the past years. However, he also admitted there
remains unlicensed construction of resorts, villa, garden houses and illegal
mining in the locality.
He asked the district’s departments and agencies to make detailed statistics
and propose solutions to reclaiming delayed projects while increasing
inspection upon finding violations.
Earlier, the Chairman and members of the delegation inspected the construction
of Lam Son hi-end ecological and resort urban area invested by Hoa Binh
Archireenco Jsc and the implementation of directions by State management
agencies in Thai Thinh Co. Ltd. stone mining company, one of the most
outstanding State budget contributors in the district./.

Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
