(HBO) – The Standing Committee of the Hoa Binh provincial chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) and the Kim Boi district chapter jointly held a ceremony to launch the Youth Month campaign and Tet tree planting festival 2018 at Sao Bay and My Hoa communes.
The event was attended by Tran Dang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the
provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee;
representatives from the HCMCYU Central Committee, provincial organisations,
Kim Boi district authorities, sponsors and 500 local youths.

Themed "Creative youths build the nation”, the campaign will
include numerous practical activities to encourage young people to voluntarily
implement the Resolution of the HCMCYU’s national Congress in the 2017 – 2022
term.

Dang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the
provincial People’s Committee encourages local elderly and social beneficiaries
to go to health check-ups and consultation programme initiated by the youths of
the provincial General Hospital as part of activities in response to the Youth
Month.
At the ceremony, Ninh beat the drum to launch the event, gave
gifts to students and planted trees at the Sao Bay high school. On the
occasion, the HCMCYU provincial chapter gave 20 million VND (880 USD) to Dinh
Ngoc Hoan in Ba Giang hamlet, My Hoa commune to help his family build a house.
The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Kim Boi district presented 20 sets of
gift and Kim Boi district offered 10 sets of gift to needy students at the Sao
Bay Primary School and Secondary School. The Youth Union of the provincial
Police provided 10 tonnes of cement to build a playground for children and
monthly scholarships, worth 200,000 VND (9 USD) for 10 needy, yet outstanding
students in the district in 2018. The Kim Boi district-based Hung Ha
Construction Company gave 11 sets of gift to victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in
Sao Bay commune.

The ceremony was followed by numerous activities. Delegates and
500 youths planted trees; repaired floating platforms; and started construction
of two roads in Sao Bay and My Hoa communes, a playground for children in My Hoa commune, and a house for Dinh Ngoc
Hoan’s family. They planted 1,000 bamboo trees to prevent landslides along Boi
river section crossing My Hoa commune, provided check-up and medicines for 150
elder persons and social beneficiaries, arranged job placement for local
students./.

These improvements have helped create favourable conditions for local residents and organisations to handle administrative procedures, contributing to the commune’s broader socio-economic development.
The Prime Minister-approved master plan to develop the multi-use value of forests ecosystems through 2030, with a vision to 2050, aims to improve the management and sustainable use of forest resources, create jobs, increase incomes, and improve the living standards of ethnic minorities, people in mountainous and remote areas, forest workers and those living near forests.
