This year’s programme was more significant as it was organised on the occasion of the 128th birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2018). The event began with an incense offering to late President Ho Chi Minh at his statue at Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant.

On behalf of participating delegates, a representative from Hoa Binh newspaper delivered a speech to inform Uncle Ho of efforts and achievements made by Party newspapers in northern mountainous and midland provinces and Hanoi in the past time. Following Uncle Ho’s teachings, journalists work hard to become revolutionary soldiers in the cultural front, who help disseminate political, socio-economic, defence-security tasks to contribute to the entire Party, people and army’s efforts to successfully fulfil all-level Party congresses’ resolutions.

Many social welfare activities were also organised within the framework of the programme.

In Thuong Tien commune, Kim Boi district, the delegation granted two cows and 30 gifts to poor local households, along with an orchard.

Meanwhile, in Hoa Binh city, gifts were presented to 54 poor students with good academic performance in Thinh Lang primary and secondary schools in Thinh Lang ward, and the provincial boarding high school for ethnic students.
