(HBO) – Ky Son district of Hoa Binh province recently held a ceremony marking 70 years since President Ho Chi Minh called for patriotic emulation and reviewing two years of the implementation of the Politburo’s Directive 05-CT/TW on enhancing the studying and following of the late leader’s thought, morality and style.

emulation movements.
Following President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching about
emulation, the patriotic emulation movement in Ky Son district has continually
been promoted over the past years, creating an enthusiastic emulation
atmosphere among local public employees, civil servants, workers and people
from all social strata.
Local economic structure has shifted in the
right direction. In 2017, total State budget revenue in Ky Son surpassed 61
billion VND (2.69 million USD), up 47 percent from the set target, while per
capita income reached 47.5 million VND (nearly 2,100 USD). The household
poverty rate fell to 6.24 percent, and four of the nine communes were recognised
as new-style rural areas.
Ky Son has recorded improvement in cultural and
social affairs, as well as people’s living standards. It has also ensured
social welfares, maintained political security and social order and safety, and
paid attention to the Party and administration building.
Regarding the implementation of Directive
05-CT/TW, the district Party Committee’s standing board has focused on
promoting each unit leader’s sense of responsibility and enhancing officials,
Party members, public employees and civil servants’ devotion, incorruptibility
and respect for people.
On this occasion, the People’s Committee of Ky
Son commended 29 collectives and 33 persons for their excellent attainments in
patriotic emulation movements and the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW./.

The Prime Minister-approved master plan to develop the multi-use value of forests ecosystems through 2030, with a vision to 2050, aims to improve the management and sustainable use of forest resources, create jobs, increase incomes, and improve the living standards of ethnic minorities, people in mountainous and remote areas, forest workers and those living near forests.
