(HBO) – Vice Standing Secretary of Hoa Binh province’s Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh attended the opening ceremony of a class for grown-ups in the 2018-2019 school year in Hang Kia commune, which was organised by the Steering Committee on learning campaign and education popularisation in Mai Chau district.

Prior to the opening of the class, under the instruction of the provincial Education and Training Department and the People’s Committee of Mai Chau district, the office for education-training of the district carried out a survey to assess the situation and provide the teachers with refresher training courses.

It also mobilised sources from donors and organisations to acquire learning material and buy notebooks for students. As many as 60 gift sets were handed over to students, while teachers who continued their lessons in summer vacation time also received support.

Three classes have been organised in the Hang Kia B elementary and junior high school, with a total of 76 students. Meanwhile, Hang Kia A elementary and junior high school has 92 students in four classes, all of them female aged 14-40.

Addressing the ceremony, Ninh spoke highly of the class for grown-ups in Hang Kia commune held by the provincial Department of Education andTraining and Mai Chau district. The official voiced his hope that the students will spare no efforts in overcoming difficulties and enhancing knowledge to be applied in production and life, while following the school’s rules.

He also praised teachers’ devotion to their career and encouraged them to work hard to ensure students’ attendance and good results. Education sector, Party organisations at all levels and local authorities need to pay heed to support students, as well as equipment and other conditions of the classes so that the teachers can focus on their jobs, contributing to the development of the learning campaign and education popularisation in the locality, Ninh said./.
