HBO – Hoa Binh province’s Study Encouragement Association held a gathering to mark the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Study Encouragement Day (October 2). Since its establishment 21 years ago, the provincial association
has grown strongly in both organisation and operation capacity. Its chapters have
been expanded to various hamlets and villages, units, schools, and even clans
in the residential communities.

The study encouragement movement has spread and drawn special
attention of people of all ages and from all walks of life who learn at 210 community-based
learning centres of communes, wards and towns. Each year, more than 200,000
locals study at these centres to improve their knowledge and skills. Moreover,
every year, more than 5,000 students, collectives and individuals who have
scientific and technological initiatives receive a total of 3-4 billion USD
from the community’s savings.

Over the past years, entrepreneurs and enterprises have
contributed greatly to the province’s study encouragement work. In the past
over 20 years, the provincial association and its chapters have mobilised more
than 150 billion VND to support hundreds of thousands of poor students to
pursue their learning.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Study Encouragement Association
presented the insignia "For the study encouragement cause” to 13 individuals,
while the provincial association offered 52 certificates of merit to
businesses, collectives and individuals for their contributions to the work./.

Through creativity and adaptability, Youth Union organizations at all levels have introduced a series of practical solutions, contributing to modern governance and community development.
In recent years, An Nghia commune, located in Lac Son district, has stepped up administrative reform, focusing on improving the quality and efficiency of its single-window service unit for receiving and processing administrative procedures. These improvements have helped create favourable conditions for local residents and organisations to handle administrative procedures, contributing to the commune’s broader socio-economic development.
The Prime Minister-approved master plan to develop the multi-use value of forests ecosystems through 2030, with a vision to 2050, aims to improve the management and sustainable use of forest resources, create jobs, increase incomes, and improve the living standards of ethnic minorities, people in mountainous and remote areas, forest workers and those living near forests.
