(HBO) - Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council and head of the provincial Steering Committee for Religious Affairs Tran Dang Ninh visited, presented gifts and extended Christmas greetings to Hoa Binh Diocese in Hoa Binh city. He was accompanied by leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mass Mobilisation Department, Home Affairs Department and Military Command.

The Hoa Binh Diocese is home to 3,200 Catholic followers. In recent years, local Catholic followers’ lives have been stable thanks to the attention from the Party and State. Local parishioners have actively responded to patriotic movements and campaign, especially the movement "All people unit to build the cultural life in residential area.”

At the Hoa Binh church, on behalf of local leaders, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dang Ninh presented flowers and gifts of the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee to the Hoa Binh Diocese and extended Christmas wishes to Catholic dignitaries and followers. He spoke highly of the role of the Pastoral Council in encouraging Catholic followers to follow the Party and State policies and guidelines, stay united for social, economic and cultural development. He also wished that in the near future, Catholic followers would continue the tradition of living a good life, upholding the great national unity for socio-economic development, contributing to further developing the province together with the provincial Party Committee, authorities and people.

 On the occasion, leaders of the provincial Military Command presented flowers and gifts of High Command of Military Zone 3 and the provincial Military Command to the Hoa Binh Diocese.

 On behalf of the Catholic community, Priest of Hoa Binh Diocese Nguyen Trung Thoai thanked the provincial authorities and leaders of Military Zone 3 High Command for sharing joy with Catholic followers on Christmas. In the near future, the diocese wished to continue receiving attention of departments and agencies, and urging local Catholics to follow the principle of "Living Gospel amidst the Nation”.
