(HBO) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) - Hoa Binh chapter on January 23 presented gift packages to disadvantaged families in the northwestern province ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
The event was attended by
leaders of the VFF - Hoa Binh chapter, representatives of Dinh Nhuan joint
Stock Company and a number of organisations in the province.
In accordance with Decision
No. 117 of the managing board of the provincial Fund for the Poor on the
distribution of the fund on the occasion of the 2019 Tet, the managing board decided
to present 50 gifts totalling 20 million VND (about 860 USD) to the
associations of the former young pioneers, the blind, the old, those who with
disabilities, orphans and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin. Each organisation
received 10 packages worth 400,000 VND each.

Speaking at the ceremony,
Nguyen Thi Oanh, head of the provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilisation
Commission and President of the VFF Hoa Binh chapter, expressed her gratitude
to Dinh Nhuan JSC for joining hands with the VFF to support poor families ahead
of Tet festival for many years.
She also voiced her hope
that the province’s associations will promptly deliver Tet gifts to
disadvantaged residents so that they will have a warm Tet and ease their
difficulties./.

The northern province of Hoa Binh, with over 467,000 hectares of natural forest and more than 100,000 hectares of production forest, holds significant potential for carbon credit market development.
Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
Recognising digital transformation as an inevitable trend, authorities and agencies in Hoa Binh have made great efforts in the work by focusing on three core pillars - digital government, digital society, and digital economy, resulting in enhanced competitiveness, improved investment climate, and ensured economic and social welfare.
In recent years, Da Bac district has improved administrative reform with a one-stop shop mechanism, streamlined inter-agency procedures, and a shift to digital platforms. These efforts have enhanced public service efficiency and contributed to local socio-economic development.
