HBO – Permanent Vice Secretary of Hoa Binh province’s Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council and head of the provincial National Assembly deputies’ delegation Tran Dang Ninh and leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) – Hoa Binh chapter, and departments and sectors visited and presented Tet gifts to poor households, and policy beneficiaries in Mai Chau district on January 29.

Permanent Vice Secretary of Hoa Binh province’s Party Committee, and Chairman
of the People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh granted Tet gifts to poor households and
policy beneficiaries in Tan Son commune.
On
behalf of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee
and VFF chapter, Ninh presented gifts to 80 poor households and policy
beneficiaries in Tan Son, Tan Mai, Dong Bang and Tan Dan communes, which are
disadvantaged localities in Mai Chau.
Speaking
at a meeting to encourage disadvantaged localities and households, Ninh
appreciated efforts made by local authorities to ensure a warm Tet for locals.
He stressed as localities are facing a lot of difficulties, the Party Committees,
People’s Committees and VFF chapters at all levels have to continue caring for
poor households and policy beneficiaries and encouraging them to overcome all
difficulties, and implementing social welfare-related policies.
To
improve locals’ living conditions, localities should carry out appropriate
measures and bring into full play their strengths in economic development,
especially in agriculture and Hoa Binh lake’s potential, he suggested.
He
wished residents in the district’s communes increase production and gain more
joys in the new year.
He
asked local Party organisations and authorities to steer locals to have a safe
and thrift Tet, and begin the winter-spring crops right after the Tet
holidays./.
The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee met on March 18 to review and guide major investment projects aimed at boosting local socio-economic development.

Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
