(HBO) – Standing Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh province Tran Dang Ninh on February 27 chaired a meeting with religious dignitaries on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year 2019.

By the end of 2018, the
province had more than 48,000 religious followers in all 11 districts and city,
99 out of 210 communes, wards and townships. At the event, participants were
informed of the province’s socio-economic achievements and religious work in
2018.
The dignitaries voiced
their delight at the achievements made by the province’s Party Committee,
authorities and people over the time.
They also spoke highly of
local authorities’ attention and efforts to facilitate religious activities in
the province. They affirmed that followers of recognised religions, including
Catholicism and Buddhism, will always comply with policies and regulations of
the Party and State, and promote solidarity, thereby contributing to the
province’s development.
Ninh affirmed that religious
dignitaries, missionaries and followers have greatly contributed to the
province’s outstanding results in socio-economic development over the years.
He expressed his hope that
the dignitaries will disseminate values of doctrines, national traditions and
culture to the followers, as well as encourage them to abide by policies and guidelines
of the Party and State. They were asked to actively join in activities to
refute wrong allegations of hostile forces aiming to separate the national
unity.
The religious followers were
also urged to enhance economic growth, hunger eradication and poverty
reduction, along with participating in campaigns launched by the Party and
State, thus fostering the province’s development and people’s lives./.

The Prime Minister-approved master plan to develop the multi-use value of forests ecosystems through 2030, with a vision to 2050, aims to improve the management and sustainable use of forest resources, create jobs, increase incomes, and improve the living standards of ethnic minorities, people in mountainous and remote areas, forest workers and those living near forests.
