(HBO) - The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of northern Hoa Binh province will invest nearly 3 billion VND (129,000 USD) to implement a safe vegetable production and distribution project in value chain for 2018-2020.
Under a decision of the provincial People’s Committee, the
investment is sourced from the budget of the national target programme on
building new-style rural areas and the corresponding capital of cooperatives
joining the project.
In
2019-2020, the project receives 1.23 billion VND (52,890 USD) from the national
target programme on building new-style rural areas and the corresponding
capital from cooperatives and locals directly participating in the project.
The project will be carried out on nearly 66
hectares. Two cooperatives joining production are Thanh An organic agriculture
cooperative (Nhuan Trach commune, Luong Son district) and Tay Bac safe
vegetable cooperative (Quyet Chien commune, Tan Lac district). The first
distribution partners are TH True Milk and Institute of Organic
Agricultural Economics.
