(HBO) - Right after the merging of its administrative units, Hoa Binh city has focused on compensation and resettlement support while addressing issues in land clearance for projects and works.
Many households have been assisted to settle down in
the resettlement zone in Thai Binh ward, Hoa Binh city.
In the first quarter of this year, the city
continued land clearance for 55 works and projects, including the key ones of
the province and Hoa Binh city.
Hoa Binh city has issued eight decisions on
approving options for compensation and resettlement support, worth over 80
billion VND (3.42 million USD) in total.
Nearly 40 billion VND has been disbursed,
including 18 billion VND for the industrial zone park on the left bank of the
Da River, and 13 billion VND for the Thong Nhat urban area.
Currently, three more projects are waiting for
approval, with a combined cost of over 60 billion VND.
They include a project to move power lines, Yen
Mong industrial cluster, Hoa Binh 2 bridge, and a road section linking National
Road No. 6 to Chi Lang./.

Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
