(HBO) – The Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation of Hoa Binh city together with the communal children’s house of the province on May 17 organised a drawing contest on late President Ho Chi Minh with children.

In a given time of 120 minutes, 35 contestants, who were
local elementary and secondary students, created their works on A3 paper
(30x40cm) with materials of their own choice, including pastel, watercolours,
crayons, colour markers and pencils.
A total of 33 prizes were presented to the contestants.
Nguyen Ngoc Linh Dan of the city’s Huu Nghi ward won the first prize in the
elementary school group, while Chu Bao Linh of Phuong Lam ward triumphed in the
secondary school one.
Nguyen Minh Chau of Phuong Lam ward and Nong Thi Uyen Nhi of
Ky Son ward bagged the second prizes in the elementary school group, while Tran
Nguyet Ha of Mong Hoa commune and Nguyen Thuy Dung of Thinh Lang ward came
second in the secondary school one.
There were eight third prizes and 19 consolation ones.
This was part of the activities to commemorate the 79th
founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation (May 15) and
the 130th birthday of the late President (May 19)./.

Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
