(HBO) – Though Hoa Binh has reported zero coronavirus cases over the last two months, it is rigorously enforcing preventive measures against the virus, accroding the the provincial steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control.

People are advised to wear face masks to prevent the coronavirus transmision when visiting Mai Chau district’s medical centre.

Local authorities have continued running an awareness campaign in various forms of channels to educate people on the pandemic and ways to prevent the virus from spreading.

The province has also kept records of and classify people who have direct and indirect contacts with those infected with the COVID-19 and put them into quarantine.

It has also taken samples from people travelling through virus-hit countries and regions for testing while provincial- and district-level quarantine camps have been set up for suspected cases and high-risk people.

At present, there are only two people quarantined at the facility in the medical centre of Luong Son centre and five others are self-quarantined at home.

Local healthcare establishments have taken strict measures against the coronavirus spread by designating an exclusive zone for examining and treating suspected patients and providing confimation ofCOVID-19 testing services at the provincial centre for disease control.

As of June 8, Hoa Binh had conducted 1,569 coronavirus tests, 1,566 of which came out negative while the remaining three are pending.

A total of 23,678 people have completed health declarations in the province./.
