(HBO) - The Department of Education and Training held a conference to summarize the 2019-2020 school year, deploying the tasks of the 2020-2021 school year for continuing education.
Currently, in the whole province
there is one provincial center for continuing education, 10 centers for
vocational and continuing education in the districts and the city. In the
academic year of 2019 - 2020, the whole educational branch has performed well
the assigned functions and tasks and key tasks of the school year under the
guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The quality of teaching and learning
the programs of continuing education has been gradually improved. The
proportion of students following the continuing education at high school level
with good academic capacity has been strengthened. The proportion of students
with bad learning capacity has gradually been overcome. Mobilizing to organize
classes of the institutions of continuing education in the province have met
and exceeded the set plan. Specifically, there are 2 classes with 34 students
following continuing education at the lower secondary education program, there
are 3 classes with 63 students following the continuing education program after
knowing literacy, there are 105 classes with 3,257 students following
continuing education at high school level. There are 1,099 students following
the general vocational education, there are 2,667 students following the
general education combined with the vocational secondary school, 107 students
are the English learners of A level, 412,176 students belong to deferent
thematic classes, 74,589 students follow life skills education, 890 learners
study Thai and Mong languages. 5 classes with 262 joint training students at
university level have been opened. The examination to issue certificates of
information technology application for 937 learners has been held.
In the academic year of 2020-2021,
the Department of Education and Training has set out a number of tasks as
followed: Strengthening a consistent understanding of the positions, the roles,
the goals and the tasks of continuing education prescribed in the Education Law
of 2019, continuing to strongly renovate the State management mechanism for the
continuing education and the governance activities in the institutions of
continuing education, focusing on strengthening the order and the discipline,
focusing on improving the quality of education and diversifying the activities
associated with renewing the content, the programs, the teaching methods,
testing, evaluating and quality accreditation for continuing education
establishments, promoting the application of IT, communication in teaching and
learning management, strengthening the inspection and the supervision to
improve the implementing effectiveness and the efficiency of the state
management for continuing education.
