(HBO) – Tran Dang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, inspected and directed the settlement of flood consequences and visited residents in Tien Phong and Vay Nua communes of Da Bac district.

Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dang Ninh visits families in Tup hamlet of Tien Phong commune who were evacuated to the commune’s former clinic.

The Party official examined affected areas in Tup hamlet of Tien Phong commune, where eight families were displaced because their houses had suffered from serious cracks. Prolonged rains led to long cracks on local karst mountains, resulting in landslides that left many houses cracked and even collapsed. He also visited and presented relief to the evacuated families.

During the fact-finding trip, he also visited residents in Lau Bai hamlet of Vay Nua, a commune home to 30 households who had to evacuate due to landslides.



The working group inspects the landslide situation at the house of Bui Van Luc in Tup hamlet of Tien Phong commune (Da Bac district).

At a working session with officials of Da Bac district and its communes, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh offered his sympathy to local residents on heavy losses triggered by floods. He also lauded local authorities and people’ efforts to address flood consequences.


The official asked local authorities to continue evacuating families in landslide-prone areas and ensure that new living places must meet people’s basic demand and have sufficient conditions for their livelihoods. While relevant agencies need to deal with landslide areas along key roads, the electricity sector has to ensure power supply for people’s daily activities. Locals should also support each other in this trying time.

He affirmed that the administrations of Hoa Binh province and Da Bac district will provide timely assistance to help localities surmount disaster consequences and people soon stabilise their lives.
