To successfully realise 2021 tasks set by the Government and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, as well as the Resolution adopted at the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Resolution adopted at the 17th provincial Party Congress, and the PM’s Resolutions No. 01/NQ-CP and 02/NQCP dated January 1, 2021, Khanh asked directors of departments, leaders of agencies, and chairpersons of Hoa Binh city and districts to adopt measures in a drastic and synchronous manner.

He ordered changing the mindset and revamping management methods with specific actions, aiming to get better results this year.

The local departments, agencies and localities need to play a more active role, show a high sense of responsibility and stay vigilant in the pandemic fight in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated January 28 on urgent COVID-19 prevention and control measures, and other relevant documents.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development should keep a close watch on weather conditions and coordinate with Hoa Binh city and districts to enhance agro-forestry production, prevent plant and animal diseases, and promote the tradition of tree planting and forestation in 2021, he said.

The Department of Science and Technology will coordinate with other departments and agencies to roll out measures to remove difficulties facing enterprises, step up production and business, and speed up the implementation of major projects in the locality, according to the official.

Khanh asked the Department of Finance to keep a close watch on market prices and make efforts in fighting smuggling and trade fraud, focusing on budget collection and spending in the year.

The Department of Industry and Trade was assigned to intensify production and business, especially major industries, right after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, and create favourable conditions for businesses to improve their production capacity, expand the market and boost exports.

The official tasked the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with enhancing the management and organisation of festivals, ensuring security, traffic safety, environmental hygiene and food safety at tourist sites and festivals, and adjusting the scale of festivals in line with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

The Health Department should ensure human resources and medical medicine and supplies, while joining efforts to inspect food safety at tourist sites and festivals, and putting forth scenarios against the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.

The official asked the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with localities to get updated on the labour situation in enterprises, particularly those at industrial parks, post the Tet holiday, in order to prevent a labour shortage.

The provincial police will continue maintaining political security stability, with attention paid to key areas, strictly handling traffic violations, and stepping up firefighting, especially at festivals, lodging facilities, residential areas, industrial parks and clusters, and craft villages.

The official also highlighted the information work, notably the communication campaign on the COVID-19 combat in localities.

Other tasks for local department and agencies include simplifying administrative procedures, facilitating production, business and investment, realising the resolutions adopted at the 17th provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress.

The Department of Home Affairs will join hands with the Office of the provincial People’s Committee to supervise the implementation of those tasks, and report the results to the Chairman of the People’s Committee./.
