(HBO) – In response to the 2021 Youth Month and the 90th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) (March 26), the Lac Thuy district’s HCYU chapter held a ceremony to launch the 2021 Youth Month, plant 10,000 trees and build youth works. Attending the event were 580 young people, including 250 from Brigade 72 and KT 788 unit.

The Youth Month 2021 took the theme "Traditional pride of Ho
Chi Minh Communist Youth Union". The district HCYU chapters at all levels
held activities such as popularising the results of the 13th National Party
Congress, studying the Resolutions adopted by the 13th National Party Congress
and Party congresses at all levels, organising events to celebrate the 90th
anniversary of the HCYU (March 26) in line with local realities, building works
and join in building new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas, ensuring
traffic safety and social welfare, providing support for start-ups and economic
development, building a strong HCYU, expanding solidarity front and gathering
young people.
At the launch ceremony, the standing board of the district
HCYU planted nearly 2,500 acacia trees for policy beneficiary households in Bua
Cu village, handed over a work of 2.5km of street lights, poured 300 sq.m of
cement to build a village cultural house to contribute to new rural
development, and presented 10 gifts worth 5 million VND to poor students.
Such activities contributed to upholding the pioneering and
voluntary role of youths in socio-economic development, thereby attracting the
interest of the Party units, authorities, agencies and the entire society in educating
young generations./.

Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
