(HBO) – The People’s Committee of Da Bac district announced its Toan Son commune has earned the new-style rural title last year in a ceremony on April 7. The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Cong Su.

recognizing Toan Son (Da Bac) as new-style rural commune.
Toan Son, comprising five hamlets, is
home to 739 households and 2,685 people. Income per capita reached 36.3 million
VND per person per year. Poverty rate dropped to 11.37 percent by the end of
2020.
Local living standards have been
gradually improved with the construction of many public projects in terms of
electricity, road, school and others, giving the commune a facelift.
Toan Son has satisfied all 19 new-style
rural standards to be granted the title.
Presenting the commune with a
recognition certificate, Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh Provincial People’s
Committee Dinh Cong Su urged local authorities to continue maintaining and
improving the achieved 19 standards and to accelerate agricultural
restructuring./.
The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee met on March 18 to review and guide major investment projects aimed at boosting local socio-economic development.

The northern province of Hoa Binh, with over 467,000 hectares of natural forest and more than 100,000 hectares of production forest, holds significant potential for carbon credit market development.
Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
