(HBO) – The Educational Council in Cao Phong district of the northern province of Hoa Binh recently held a ceremony to honour local study promotion examples in 2017. It was part of activities to honour families and clans with learning tradition as well as teachers and students who obtained high results in teaching and studying.

The Tan commends and rewards organisations and individuals with contributions
to study promotion activities.
Over the years, Cao Phong district has determined education as its top
priority with human is the fundamental factor for the socio-economic
development. The district paid heed to study promotion activities and listed
those activities among important tasks of the locality.
In addition to strengthening the study promotion network in communes, hamlets
and clans, the district has invested in infrastructure and equipment procurement
for schools, aiming to improve the teaching quality. Thanks to the strong
development of study promotion campaigns, the number of students passing
university and college entrance exams has increased though years.
To encourage learning at schools, every year the district’s study promotion association
presents hundreds of gift packages worth hundreds of millions of dong sourced
from donations to award-winning and excellent teachers and students, as well as
students from difficult backgrounds with good study performance.
At the event, the Education Council of Cao Phong district honoured 417
organisations and individuals, including six insignias "for Vietnam study
promotion building and development cause”, and certificates to 13 outstanding
learning communities and outstanding study promotion clans, 24 excellent
families. Besides, the council presented certificates to six local officials
with master degree, 42 proficient teachers at the provincial level, 61 students
passing the university entrance exam, 146 award-winning outstanding students of
the province, 55 senior high school students with excellent study achievements,
and 12 outstanding students who overcome their difficulties to have good study
performance. Total budget for awards exceeded 100 million VND (4,400 USD)./.

The Prime Minister-approved master plan to develop the multi-use value of forests ecosystems through 2030, with a vision to 2050, aims to improve the management and sustainable use of forest resources, create jobs, increase incomes, and improve the living standards of ethnic minorities, people in mountainous and remote areas, forest workers and those living near forests.
