(HBO) – Great changes have been seen in the former battle fields of Hoa Binh where farmers rose up to reclaim the administration from the enemy in the autumn 76 years ago.


 Infrastructure system of Hien Luong commune (Da Bac district) has been developed greatly.

Hien Luong commune in Da Bac district is one of the former revolutionary bases of Hoa Binh, where positive progress has been seen in all fields from infrastructure to people’s living conditions.

Transport system of the locality has been upgraded to make easier access to Vay Nua and Tien Phong communes, shortening the distance from the district centre to the commune to only more than ten minutes driving from almost an hour in the past.

Nguyen Dang Giap, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hien Luong said that thanks to investment from the province and district as well as efforts of local officials and residents, in 2019, Hien Luong was recognised as a new-style rural area.

The locality has found a development orientation of combining aquatic farming and community-based tourism, along with the reforming of cultivation and breeding structure and developing of handicrafts.

Ke hamlet has been developed to an expressive community-based tourism site, while many hamlets have succeeded in switching to more effective farming and breeding models to earn stable income. Per capita income of the commune reached 36.5 million VND per year, while the ratio of poor households has been reduced to 11.6 percent.

From the struggling situation, the former revolutionary base of Thach Yen in Cao Phong district has also made giant steps forwards in production. After its merge, the Party Committee and administration of the commune have promoted solidarity and strived to make breakthroughs in socio-economic development, upgrading school, transport and irrigation system, bringing a better face to the locality and higher living conditions for locals.

The commune aims to become a new-style rural area by 2025. Along with developing agro-forestry sectors, the commune has made its planning for historical tourism development.

Meanwhile in Muong Khoi former revolutionary base in Lac Son district, positive changes have turned the area into a modern area and a dynamic economic hub of the province. Residents of Hoa Binh city, carrying the pride of their homeland’s glorious tradition, are entering a new autumn with a common goal of become a modern, civilized area, a tier-2 urban area and the heart of Hoa Binh province and the gateway of the Northwestern mountainous region./.
