(HBO) – Remote destinations have been increasingly favoured by travellers over fears of getting infected with COVID-19 and various tourist destinations in Hoa Binh are seizing opportunities from this trend.

Avana Retreat Mai Chau (Mai Chau district) remains a favourite destination for tourists at the time of COVID-19.

Over 30km away from the centre of Mai Chau district, Avana Retreat Mai Chau is among the most sought-after resort for multiple-day vacation amid the pandemic. Pung, the most beautiful waterfall of the district, is located at the heart of the retreat, surrounded by hills, terraced fields, valleys and springs. The resort also features three infinite swimming pools, restaurants, a massage and fitness centre and a kid zone.

The 41-room resort provides various room classes to meet every visitor’s demand. It is offering a 20 percent discount for all bookings for at least three-night stay until December 31 while bookings for one and two-night stay receive 15 percent and 10 discount discounts, respectively.

Serena Kim Boi Resort, meanwhile, impresses vacationers with its rustic beauty and simplicity as well as traditional cultural space. "I have stayed at the resort for three times,” said Nguyen Thuy Trang, a visitor from Hanoi. She and her family decided to stay here because it is only 80 away from Hanoi. It also has hot mineral springs which are very good for health, beautiful natural scene and friendly staff, she said.

There are several destinations in Hoa Binh increasingly favoured by tourists, including Da Bia and Mo Hem Villages in Tien Phong Commune, Ke Village in Hien Luong Commune, Sung Village in Cao Son Commune (Da Bac District); Ngoi Village in Suoi Hoa Commune, Chien Village in Van Son Commune (Tan Lac District); Giang Mo Village in Binh Thanh Commune (Cao Phong District), and Lac Village in Chieng Chau Commune, Pa Co Village in Pa Co Commune, and Hang Kia Village in Hang Kia Commune (Mai Chau District).

All the destinations have been verified as "green zones”, said Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui Xuan Truong, adding that local tourism services providers are striving to keep up with the new trends to attract more visitors and revive the industry.
