(HBO) - Being chosen to build a model of the new rural residential area, there are many initiatives from the common strength and consensus of the people in Ho hamlet 1 from Ngoc Luong commune (Yen Thuy). In 2020, the hamlet won the A prize in the province's contest of build a model of the new rural residential area in the period of 2018 - 2020, and it received a certificate of merit from the Provincial People's Committee.

The traffic roads in Ho hamlet 1, Ngoc Luong commune (Yen Thuy) have been concreted, there are roads of flower roads, which has created a clean and beautiful landscape.

The first impression when coming to Ho hamlet 1 is the system of the village roads, the clean and beautiful alleys, colorful flowers are planted along the two sides of the roads, the village cultural house has been spaciously built with the spacious campus, and there are sports field and the indoor stage… Mr. Pham Van Tam, the Head of Ho hamlet 1 says: This achievement is the joint effort and consensus of the Party Committee, the government and the people in the hamlet. When we first started to build a model of the new rural residential area, we also faced many difficulties. The hamlet has passed 6 out of the 11 criteria, the people did not understand clearly, and they did not know where to start, while the party committee and commune authorities assigned to complete the tasks by the end of the year. In order to complete the tasks of building a model of the new rural residential area, the village established a Development Board, assigning each member to be in charge of one criterion. They reviewed the criteria, developed plans, set out the key tasks and solutions associated with the actual situation of the hamlet. All of the work, the content and the criteria have been discussed publicly by the people and then they were discussed pulicly for the implementation.

Publicly, transparently with the motto the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people check. All policies were put forward, the people heard, discussed and then they reached a high consensus, creating the consensus and the response of the people. With the criteria of doing the easy first, doing the difficult later, the remaining criteria are gradually completed and achieved. To build the campus of the cultural house, plant flowers and ornamental plants, renovate the inner-village roads, clean the village roads, etc., the people have contributed more than 300 million VND and more than 1,700 working days. Thereby, the roads in the hamlet have been mostly concreted with a system of signs, instructions according to regulations, and the electric lighting system. The roads have been assigned to the self-managed associations and unions, and the youth unions are in charge of the roads lighting up the village to ensure security. In addition, each family has actively been decorating their house and garden so that they are in a neat and orderly manner in the direction of green - clean - beautiful, they have a high sense of environmental hygiene in animal husbandry, production, waste classification, putting garbage in the right place.

The head of Ho hamlet 1, Mr. Pham Van Tam adds: Since the hamlet was selected to build a model of the new residential area, the people of Ho hamlet 1 have always felt proud and they are constantly trying for the common goal. In 6 months (from April to October 2020), the hamlet completed 11 out of the 11 criteria. Not only contributing efforts and funds to the state to build the infrastructure, the people have also been actively working, applying the crop and livestock restructure to increase their income. The material and spiritual life of the people has improved significantly improved. Currently, the average income of the peopel in village is over 50 million VND a year. There are no poor households left in the village, and there are two near-poor households due to lack of labor capacity; about 80% of households have the permanent houses, there are no temporary houses. In order to continue promoting its achievements, the Village’s Development Board will continue promoting propaganda and mobilization to the cadres, the party members, the union members and the people from all walks of life in the coming time so that the achieved criteria can be maintained and improved.
