(HBO) – Effective implementation of the movement "All people unite to build cultural life” has helped Yen Tri commune in Hoa Binh province’s Yen Thuy district to maintain the title of new-style rural area for the last two years.

Bui Van Luyen, head of Long hamlet in the commune, said that in recent years, residents much welcomed the movement that is implemented together with the new-style rural area building programme.

People donated land and contributed funds and working days to improve local infrastructure, he said.

Up to now, over 80% of the roads in the hamlet have been concretised, the main roads are five metres wide, convenient for traffic and transport of agricultural products. The roads are kept clean and beautiful, and almost all the alleys have lighting systems. In 2022, 95% of the households in the hamlet are recognised to meet cultural households for five straight years.

The commune now has more than 90% of households recognised as cultural ones; over 60% of them recognised for 3 years or more, and 15% of them recognised as outstanding ones.

Up to 11 out of the 13 residential areas in the commune are recognised cultural residential areas; the income of over 15% of the households increase thanks to agricultural production; all residential areas mobilised people to contribute to building and upgrading cultural and social infrastructure in the community.

The commune has also promoted cultural and sports movements. Now, all residential areas in the commune have a community house with a sports area.

It has 80 security groups in residential areas and 13 reconciliation groups which contribute to eliminating social evils and ensuring social security and order.

All residential areas maintain the operation of cultural movements, arts, and sports clubs.

Bui Thi Minh Tham, Vice Chairman of Yen Tri commune People's Committee, said that through the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life”, people are better aware of legal regulations, community connections and cultural lifestyle.

All regulations on civilised behaviours in public places, weddings, and funerals are well implemented.

Social security programmes generate fruitful results as local authorities and people join offering support in seeds, capital, and technology for household economic development as well as donate to the Fund for the Poor.
