(HBO) - Da Bac district has mobilised resources for infrastructure and implemented planning very well as it is an important solution for the locality to create a breakthrough in socio-economic development.

A road connecting Da Bac town with Thanh Son district (Phu Tho) is under construction.

Da Bac is a poor district and it is facing challenges in dealing with hunger eradication and poverty reduction as well as new-style rural building.

Luong Van Thi, Chairman of the Da Bac People's Committee, said after analysing difficulties as well as new opportunities, potentials and advantages of the locality, Da Bac has carried out many solutions to promote socio-economic development. The district focused on implementing four strategic breakthroughs, including administrative reform; personnel work; planning and implementation of the planning; investment in infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure.

The district has always defined that investment in synchronous transport infrastructure is the "key" to paving the way for hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and speeding up comprehensive socio-economic development. Thus, each year, Da Bac allocates local budget and capital from programmes and projects to repair district and commune roads.

Over 1 trillion VND (42.8 million USD) has been mobilised to pour into the construction of roads in the locality over the past five years. As a result, the traffic infrastructure has been given a facelift.

A number of important traffic projects have been implemented in the district, such as opening a new route linking Cao Son commune with Trung Thanh commune. The road has shortened the distance and travel time from the Dong Ruong, Yen Hoa, Doan Ket and Trung Thanh communes to the district centre.

The construction of a road connecting Da Bac town to Phu Tho province’s Thanh Son district began in October last year, aiming to promote tourism development in Hoas Binh Reservoirarea,

Since the beginning of this year, work has begun on some important transport projects, notably, the one on upgrading the inter-commune road Vay Nua - Tien Phong with a total investment of 400 billion VND.

In addition to pouring capital into transport infrastructure, the district has focused on planning work and management. Four construction planning projects have been devised, including a construction planning project for Da Bac district to 2040 and the planning of an eco-tourism complex in Cao Son commune.

The official emphasised that the district administration always pays attention to the planning work as it is identified as an important political task, one of the four strategic breakthroughs.

Da Bac has implemented many solutions to improve the quality of urban planning to meet the requirements of construction and sustainable development management. Accordingly, construction planning must have a multi-sectoral approach and a comprehensive and strategic vision, ensuring the unity and integration of the planning system as well as other specialised planning./.
