(HBO) – Hoa Binh province has reaped significant achievements in cultivation in the 2021-2023 period, with its production scale expanded, contributing to raising productivity, quality and competitiveness of local agricultural products.

Hoa Binh’s total farming land stands at over 117,000 hectares each year, of which the area of cereal crops is 71,000 hectares with a combined output of more than 360,000 tonnes.
Citrus trees are mainly grown in Cao Phong, Kim Boi, Lac Thuy, Tan Lac, Lac Son, Luong Son and Yen Thuy districts, covering over 10,000 hectares, and yielding some 150,000 tonnes, with a value of 300-450 million VND per hectare each year.
Meanwhile, the area of vegetables amounts to over 14,000 hectares with an output of more than 200,000 tonnes per year. The area of sugarcane has been maintained at 7,000 hectares.
Hoa Binh has paid attention to plant restructuring, forming concentrated production zones in combination with the building of rural infrastructure and irrigation system, and facilitating the application of technical advances and mechanisation in production.
With the target of promoting mass, large-scale cultivation, models of connectivity in production and value chain have been formed in such districts as Da Bac, Kim Boi, Lac Son, Mai Chau, Tan Lac and Yen Thuy./.
