(HBO) - In the evening of October 26th, at the stage along the walking street on Da Giang dike, the People Committee of Hoa binh city held the opening of the walking street. There was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Van Khanh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and the leaders from the People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province; the people from the Provincial Party Committee.

There was also the attendance of the representatives from Quang Ngai province, the representatives of the Department of Education and Sports of Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic; the leaders from a number of departments and branches of the province and a large number of officials and people of Hoa Binh city.

The project for the night economic development in Hoa Binh is piloted starting from the beginning of Hoa Binh street (the Irrigation Department) along Da Giang dyke, and finoshing at Hoa Binh bridge 2 wards, Phuong Lam and Dong Tien (Hoa Binh City) from 2022 - 2023. The City People's Committee has approved the investment project to embellish Da Giang dyke under the project for the Night Economy Development in Hoa Bing city, implementing the construction of the urban embellishment, lighting..., renovating the works serving Da Giang walking street according to the approved Project.

 

Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the delegates were visiting the booths displaying the agricultural and OCOP products on the walking street of Hoa Binh city.


Making a speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the achievements of Hoa Binh city’s Party Committee and government for making the outstanding efforts and seriously implementing the direction of the province to promptly put the walking street into operation.

He emphasized that the project to make Da Giang street in Hoa Binh city into a walking city is one of the important projects that not only has the socio-cultural significance but it also has an important significance in building civilized urban areas, promoting the socio-economic development. Especially, it helps promote trade and service connections with the city's tourism development. Putting the walking street into operation is a new tourism product with special appeal to attract tourists, creating a space and an environment to develop activities and types of culture - art - trade - services, cuisine, meeting the needs and expectations of tourists and the people of Hoa Binh, contributing to promoting the traditional cultural values, history, and people of Hoa Binh, creating a breakthrough in implementing the program for Hoa Binh tourism development that the XVII Provincial Party Executive Committee has proposed.

From September 8 to October 20, 2023, during the period of trial operation, Hoa Binh city organized 12 nights at Da Giang walking street, attracting over 33,000 attendees, notably, it has attracted tourists from neighboring provinces and international tourists. Up to this point, more than 120 households have registered their booths with the People's Committees of Phuong Lam and Dong Tien wards and they have been assigned booth location, supported and facilitated to arrange the booths in the correct location.
