(HBO) - On December 14, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Lac district held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the district and received the second-class Labour Order.

Attending the ceremony were Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee; and former leaders of the province and the district through different periods, along with a large number of locals.




At the ceremony, authorised by the State President, Bui Van Tinh, member of Party Central Committee and Secretary of provincial Party Committee, presents the Labor Order, second class, to the Party Committee, authorities and people of Tan Lac district.

Tan Lac district was established in October 1957 after Lac Son district was separated into two districts: Lac Son and Tan Lac. Currently, the district has 23 communes and one town, with a total natural area of 53,000 ha and a population of about 84,000.

During the war against the US, the army and people of Tan Lac district promoted the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary heroism to make outstanding achievements in both fighting and production. After the southern region was completely liberated, the Party Organisation and people of Tan Lac district, together with people nationwide, exerted every effort in implementing two strategic tasks: building socialism and defending the homeland. Under the sound leadership of the Party and the direct direction of the Party Organisation of Tan Lac district, people from local ethnic groups stepped up patriotic emulation movements, upheld the revolutionary spirit and ceaselessly developed production. The locality also worked to remove difficulties, take the advantage of opportunities and tap potential and strengths, striving to attain many important achievements in the economic field, maintaining political stability and ensuring social order and safety.



An art performance entitled "Tan Lac - 60 years of glory and pride" draws 600 artisans, 400 teachers and students in the district.

With dedication, sacrifices and endless efforts, the Party Organisation, authorities and people of ethnic groups in Tan Lac district were conferred the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. The State President also awarded the locality with the third- and second- class Labour Order. On this occasion, the Party Organisation and people of Tan Lac district again received the Labour Order, second class, a noble award from the Party and State.

 Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, warmly congratulated and praised the excellent achievements of the Party Organisation, authorities, people and armed forces of Tan Lac district over the past 60 years. He emphasised that Tan Lac is a land of long history and one of the centres of the Hoa Binh culture.

 He asked the Party Organisation and people of Tan Lac district to continue to stay active, resolute and persistent in implementing breakthrough solutions to speed up the economic growth in a stable and sustainable manner, creating drastic changes in the quality and competitiveness of the local economy, and better using resources for development investment.

 At the same time, Tan Lac should continue to maintain the attainments and continuously improve the quality of the new-style rural criteria, while actively integrating and seeking markets to expand production, business, services and tourism, he said. The provincial leader added that the district needs to strengthen defence and security, and successfully fulfil the target of reaching the average development level of the province in the spirit of the Resolution of the district Party Organisation’s 23rd Congress.
