Chairing a meeting of the steering committee for perfecting standards to establish Luong Sown township, the official noted that a master plan for the township should be completed soon and submitted to the Ministry of Construction and other ministries and agencies, and then to the Government for approval.

Toan, who is also head of the committee, asked its members to raise proposals, especially those regarding land use fees and water supply.

Luong Son district, which is scheduled to earn the township status by 2025, has satisfied two out of the five criteria set, relating to population scale and natural area, according to a report presented at the meeting. The participants looked into solutions to help the locality remove obstacles regarding land planning, technology infrastructure, and the progress of some key projects in the district.
