According to Reuters and VNA, at a news conference on May 20, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison stressed that his new government would prioritise the implementation of measures to reduce taxes, the adaptation of anti-terrorism laws and the adjustment of National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Other priorities include: the development of the law of protection of farmers, the implementation of the mental health care plan and social media reform towards anti-violence. In addition, PM Scott Morrison affirmed that there would not be major changes of personnel in the new government.

Morrison’s Liberal-led conservative coalition has won or is leading in 76 seats in the 151-seat House of Representatives, the number needed to form a majority government, according to the Australian Electoral Commission. The final result of the Australian federal election is expected to announce this weekend.
