Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Quach Tat Liem and Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade Pham Tien Dung present certificates and trophies to owners of provincial-level outstanding rural industrial products in 2024.

As part of the 2024 programme to select outstanding rural industrial products, provincial authorities honoured high-quality products, a step to encourage production to meet increasing demand in the market.

The cordyceps roberti product of Ngo Kim Quyen (Dong Tien ward, Hoa Binh city) is one of the 20 recognised as provincial-level outstanding rural industrial products in 2024. Granted three stars under the One Commune, One Product (OCOP) programme in 2022, it has won consumers’ trust and preference thanks to its premium quality.

Quyen, head of the business household producing the product, said they have always paid attention to quality, food safety, and design. The high production capacity and good prestige have enhanced their confidence in winning the hearts of consumers. The output is expected to reach 3,000 - 4,000 products in the next two years, enabling the producer to expand the market and benefit the local economy.

The Kim Boi natural mineral water product of the Kim Boi Mineral Water JSC also earned the recognition in 2024.

Director of the company Vu Hai Phong said his firm is focusing on upgrading technology and expanding production to meet demand in domestic and foreign markets and help the brand of Kim Boi mineral water gradually get established in global markets.

At the industry and trade fair of the northern region - Hoa Binh 2024, the province granted certificates to 20 outstanding rural industrial products. After winning the provincial-level recognition, many have continued to seek certification at regional and national levels.

The provincial Department of Industry and Trade said the selection of rural industrial products aims to honour high-quality products with high growth potential and competitiveness. Authorities will assist producers to boost trade and improve brand value to promote brand recognition and reputation in the market.
