The mission examined the chicken raising model in Huong Nhuong commune, Lac Son district.

Lac Son district has focused on directing the communes and the town to implement the production plan for the spring crop. The localities are preparing materials and fertilize and they are also deploying the production plans. In this crop, there are 10,500 hectares in the district, 3,500 hectares of which are rice, the rest are the other crops and 850 hectares of forest are planted. The district has cultivated 500 hectares of rice so far. One hundred hectares have been converted to plant trees of higher economic value such as the corn, the purple sugarcane, the pumpkin, the lagenaria siceraria for seeds. The water resources are generally more secure than those in 2018. The prevention and control of epidemics is paid much more attention.

* In Cao Phong district: The mission checked the field in Tay Phong commune. The production in Cao Phong district focuses on two main crops: citrus fruit trees and sugarcane.

The total area of citrus fruit trees in the whole district is 3,000 ha, of which the area in the business period is 1,344 ha, and the annual output of 2018-2019 has reached 3.5 thousand tons. The whole district has finished harvesting all kinds of early ripped oranges and mainly ripped ones, especially V2 oranges. The gardeners are selling them for the price of 25-30,000 VND a kg. The area of sugarcane is nearly 2,700 ha.

At present, the weather is favorable with full of orange flowers, and it is expected to have a good orange crop. The district is directing the communes to convert rice and crop land where the irrigating water is not favorable to other crops with an area of 145 hectares. The management of livestock and poultry herds, forestry development, the forest protection are being taken care of. There have been no forest fires up till now. However, the consumption of the key products such as sugarcanes, oranges, tangerines, Da river fishes depends on the market. The production linkage has not strongly developed. It is appreciated that the production guidance of Cao Phong district has built a key orange area with  high economic efficiency compared to other crops. The mission requested that the district should concentrate on directing the production of the spring crop of 2019.
