In order to improve the quality of medical examination, treatment and disease prevention, in recent years, the health sector of Hoa Binh province has always focused on improving the quality of its human resources so as to provide better health care for the people.

Currently, the local health system has 19 public service units under the provincial Department of Health and 151 health stations, with a total of 3,627 employees, of whom 42 have doctoral, specialist II degrees; 287 have master's, specialist I degrees; 1,594 have university degrees; and 1,704 have college and intermediate degrees. Medical examination and treatment facilities maintain and improve the quality of professional technical services; and implement the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment, and treatment regimens issued by the Ministry of Health.

Doctor Bui Thu Hang, Director of the provincial Department of Health, said that to implement the national strategy on protecting, caring for and improving the people's health, the provincial health sector has focused on improving the quality of human resources with appropriate quantity and structure, and ensuring the implementation of functions, tasks, and appropriate remuneration.

It has also promoted policies to attract high-quality medical human resources with good professional qualifications, especially in remote, and underprivileged areas. In addition, the sector has intensified specialized training, received technique transfer from upper-level hospitals, and sent hundreds of medical workers to participate in training courses at different levels. This is the basis for developing human resources to ensure both quantity and quality, she added.

In 2023, the health insurance coverage rate in Hoa Binh reached 95.23%. This is one of the favorable conditions for people to access medical services at medical facilities.

Determining that investment in protecting, caring for, and improving people's health is an investment in development, Hoa Binh is working to ensure that all people have their health monitored and cared for.
