With many resources, the participation of the entire political system and the consensus and active response of the entire people, Yen Thuy’s journey to becoming a new rural district has achieved remarkable results. The rural areas in the district have become more spacious, green, clean, and beautiful. Essential infrastructure in transportation, irrigation, culture, healthcare, and education has been invested, upgraded, and constructed.


 


The salted shallot product of Phu Lai Agricultural Cooperative, Yen Thuy District, is a 3-star OCOP product that has been exported to international markets.

The district’s agricultural production has developed significantly with many production models, linkages that increased incomes for local people. To date, Yen Thuy District has 1 exemplary new rural commune, 1 advanced new rural commune, 8 standard new rural communes, 32 exemplary new rural residential areas, 292 model gardens, and 21 OCOP products.

Yen Thuy District has submitted evaluation and approval documents for Huu Loi and Lac Sy communes to meet new rural standards; Ngoc Luong commune to achieve advanced new rural standards; 7 exemplary new rural residential areas, and 91 model gardens.

Regarding the development of a civilized urban area, Yen Thuy District has met 4/9 criteria and has achieved 5/9 criteria for a new rural district. The district is focusing on implementing the remaining criteria and aims to submit the recognition dossier for a new rural district in 2025.

Mr. Bui Van Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Thuy District said: To achieve the goal on schedule, Yen Thuy District is strengthening its focus on mobilizing resources to complete and enhance new rural and advanced new rural criteria. The district continues to promote and implement the emulation movement "Yen Thuy District unites to build new rural areas” and the campaign "All people build a cultural life in residential areas in connection with new rural Development”.

Yen Thuy District is accelerating the implementation of projects under the national target program for new rural development. In 2025, Yen Thuy District aims to have all 10 communes meeting new rural standards, at least 3 communes achieving advanced new rural standards, Hang Tram town meeting the civilized urban standards, and Yen Thuy District completing all criteria to be recognized as a new rural district.
