On May 4 (the seventh day of the fourth lunar month), the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter of Hoa Binh province held a ceremony to mark the Day of Vesak 2025 (Buddhist Calendar 2569) at Hoa Binh Phat Quang Pagoda. Bui Thi Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, presents congratulatory flowers on behalf of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

The event features traditional rituals, including chanting prayers, to celebrate the Buddha’s birth.

In her speech, Bui Thi Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, praised the Hoa Binh VBS chapter's contributions to the great national solidarity, patriotic emulation movements, and social campaigns launched by the Party, State, and Fatherland Front.

She expressed hope that the local VBS chapter will continue promoting patriotism, harmony, and the humanistic values of Buddhism while encouraging monks, nuns, and followers to accompany the nation, comply with Party and State policies, and lead a good religious and secular life, thereby contributing to the development of Hoa Binh.

In recent years, the VBS chapter in Hoa Binh has exerted significant efforts to support social welfare, charity work, gratitude programmes, and the promotion of cultural and economic development in the province. Buddhist activities have played an important role in strengthening the national solidarity bloc and developing Hoa Binh into a prosperous and civilised province.
