(HBO) - In the exciting atmosphere to welcome the Independence Day of the historic August, in the land of the Lower Da River, from the communes along Highway 6 to Doc Lap Highland commune, from Phu Minh remote commune or the outside Phuc Tien, Yen Quang regions, the local people in Ky Son district are welcoming the National Independence Day of 2nd September in happiness and excitement. All the households in the villages and hamlets are decorated with brightly colored flags. At the stadiums, cultural houses, the local people are delightedly cheering up and participating in cultural and sports activities.

As a tradition, every year, the local people
are looking forward to the National Independence Day, which is celebrated with
great enthusiasm. Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, the Chairman of the Commune Fatherland
Front said that before the Independence Day, the atmosphere in the village and
outside the commune was excited, the volleyball teams, the art performance
teams gathered to concentrate in practicing for their exchanges on the 1stor 2nd of September. This year, the district organizes the
competition of soft volleyball for the elderly people. Therefore, on this
occasion, the communes also organize the exchange activities of playing
volleyball for elderly people. They are very excited and looking forward to the
Independence Day's coming to participate in activities. All families are
celebrating the Independence Day, some even celebrate much more than Lunar New
Year, while many families gather for killing pigs for fresh pork.

Minh commune excitedly said: like the Lunar New Year, the Independence Day is a
chance for families to reunite, the children working far to come back to the
family. Houses, village roads are cleaned up. In recent years, the people's
living condition is getting much better; the families can have fuller meals.
Many houses invite each other to join the meals for joy. Outside the cultural
houses, male and female youth, elderly people organize sports exchanges, the
people join in cheering in the cheerful atmosphere.
Coming back to Ky Son on these August days,
you can join in the joy of the local people celebrating the August Revolution
and National Independence Day of 2nd September. All the village
roads and alleys are clean, clear and hygienic. Banners, flags, slogans are
hung all the way. Alleys, villages and the residential areas seem to be much
fresher and more beautiful.
