(HBO) - Song Da Secondary School (Hoa Binh city) was established in August, 1976, according to the needs of culture - education development serving the children of the staff and employees of Song Da Hydropower Construction Corporation. The school currently has 45 staffs, teachers and staffs with 4 working groups, including Specialized Group of Social Science, Specialized Group of natural sciences, specialized Group of Physical Education – Foreign Languages and the Official Group.

In the academic year 2018 - 2019, the school
welcomed 242 pupils into the 6 th grade, which made the total number of pupils in the whole school increase to 814
pupils, dividing into 21 classes, in which 6 classes are 6thgrade, there are 5 classes in each 7th, 8th and 9th grade.

of the school said: In recent years, the emulation movement of "Good
teaching - good learning" has always been excitingly organized by the
school with many practical activities. This movement is being actively
responded by the teachers and pupils, which creates motivations to improve the
teaching and learning quality. The school is always interested in encouraging
the teachers to actively innovate and propose innovations and solutions to
apply in the process of managing and educating the pupils more effectively. In
the academic year 2017 - 2018, the school has 28 scientific solutions and ideas
of staffs and teachers, including 11 scientific solutions and ideas were
approved by the City Council of innovative ideas, scientific solutions.
With the spirit of responsibility for all the
"dear students" of the teachers, together with the effort to strive
constantly in the study and moral education, lifestyles of pupils, the academic
year 2017 - 2018 of Song Da Secondary School successfully get over to complete
the task of the school year, got great achievements .The school has 754/769
students who achieved good behaviors, accounting for 98.05%, 545 students were
evaluated to have quite good and good learning level, accounting for 70,9%, 196
excellent students in the city level, 26 excellent students in the provincial
level. There were 28 teachers certified and achieved as excellent teachers at
many levels in the teacher competitions. Many students go to specialized
classes of Hoang Van Thu Gifted High School, including 3 students getting the
highest marks of English, Chemistry, and Russian. The school was awarded the
certificate of merit by the provincial People's Committee with excellent
achievements in the emulation movement of good teaching and good learning, and
was presented the emulation flag by the Prime Minister.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025. The project, funded by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students.
