(HBO) – In the recent national high school graduation exam, Tran Duy Linh from the Lac Son High School is one of the province’s two students getting two 10 marks in biology and chemistry. However, few people know that he gained the achievements thanks to learning from his friends, teachers and the internet.

Several days after the results were announced, we came to Lac Son district to
see Linh. He is thin and tall. Being humble, he did not want to boast his
academic achievements. His father, Le Duy Tien, attributed his outcomes mainly
to his self-study.
I and my wife could not teach him at home since he was at the secondary school,
Tien said, adding that because we were busy and the educational programmes
these days are different from our times. Therefore, we can only encourage him
and support his study in term of time and finance. Besides his teachers, some
relatives who are teachers also helped Linh in his study. All the study and
career choosing were decided by himself.
Sharing his study experience, Linh said "each person has his/her own secrets. I
listen carefully to my teachers at school, and ensure that I understand well
all the knowledge I have been taught. Besides, most of the time, I study
myself. I have always stayed patient and tried my best in my study. I got the
best learning methods from reference books and the internet”.
At the secondary school, Linh started joining online lessons, courses and
groups, such as Moon, Qstar, or facebook.
Mai Kim Phuong, a math teacher from the Lac Son High School, said Linh is one
of the two most outstanding students at the school, especially in math and
other natural science subjects. He was said to be a serious, fast-learning,
hard-working, and independent student. He also received help from his friends
and teachers. I am not surprised with his achievements.
Talking about his future plans, Linh said "I have been admitted to the Hanoi
Medical University. I want to be a doctor to help many people”./.
