The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) on January 1 announced decreases in petrol prices following a decision jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

Accordingly, RON 95-IV price falls to 17,750 VND per litre from 18,290 VND per litre, while the price of RON 95-III is down to 17,600 VND per litre from 18,140 VND per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of E5 fuel RON 92 drops slightly from 16,780 VND per litre to 16,270 VND per litre. Those of diesel oil and kerosene are now 15,050 VND per litre and 14,180 VND per litre, respectively.

According to the Petrolimex, its petrol price stabilisation fund as of January 1 was 1.91 trillion VND (82.6 million USD), up 230 billion VND compared to the latest petrol price adjustment on December 21, 2018.

This is the 97th time that the firm has adjusted its petrol price since 2014.
